You’re welcome here

Refuge Faith Community is a gathering of people searching for grace and love in the presence of the Divine. We seek to build a community of all people and value everyone’s stories and background. We believe that Black Lives Matter, and we are fully affirming and accepting of all LGBTQIA+ identities and relationships. Whether you have spent your whole life in a church, or think The Bible is a collection of fables, or somewhere in between, all of who you are in all of your complexity is welcome at Refuge Faith Community. The bottom line is that we’re glad you’re here.

Our Beliefs

We believe that a community is more than just sitting in a pew on Sundays. Community is people who are working to grow together in love, unity, and grace.
We believe that everyone’s story is important. Refuge is a space for people to feel safe and be their fullest self. Everyone has an equal voice, and everyone has a seat at the table!
We believe that questions are important. We aren’t robots. We have brains for a reason, and you should never feel guilty for questioning/deconstructing the beliefs you grew up in.
We believe that all are welcome. While Refuge’s background is in the Christian tradition, we highly value all backgrounds.
We believe in social justice. Jesus came to liberate the poor, sick, and marginalized. We want to be a community that speaks out against injustice in the world.
We want to grow. As we grow as a community, people will make mistakes. We strive to have an environment where we educate and correct each other in love and grace.
